Examining Children
DOCET considers that training for optometrists in dealing with child patients and their visual problems is a high priority. DOCET has revised and updated its distance learning pack (originally published in modular format in the early 1990s).
The publication, distributed to optometrists in Spring 2006, comprises a DVD which concentrates on the practical aspects of examining children, and booklet with more detailed information and questions.
The DVD, produced by the production house Jacaranda, includes optometrists Lynne Weddell, Paul Adler and Nial O’Kane examining children aged from six months to three years.
