DOCET Funding
Each year, DOCET sets aside a proportion of its funds in order to provide some financial assistance to help enable CET to be delivered locally, throughout the UK, in the form of meetings, courses, events or workshops. Local optometric groups who need some financial help to hire a room or pay for lecturers or speakers can apply for DOCET funds. Funds can also be made available to commercial providers of optometric CET.
DOCET can contribute to costs for the following items:
- Lecturer/workshop leader/Peer Review facilitator fees (cap applies)
- Reasonable lecturer travel costs
- Room hire and equipment costs
- Payments to patients (cap applies)
- Reasonable advertising costs (eg. mailshot)
